Coach Membership

Coach Membership - £20 annually

This membership enables UK coaches to promote themselves as exceptionally skilled coaches within the sporting industry. By gaining your UK Coaching Certificate (UKCC) from the BPASF you are proving that you have met all of the requirements of the BPASF and the IPSF and are capable of working within the pole and aerial industry in accordance with expectations of the BPASF and the IPSF. You will be supported to continuously improve your coaching skills, and, in the ways in which to best support athletes at IPSF endorsed competitions; both nationally and internationally.

Benefits – the same as instructors plus:

• Eligibility to attend BPASF National and International IPSF competitions as the official coach with your athletes.

• UKCC Level 2 International Coaches will wear the National Tracksuit on the World stage and accompany our Team GB athletes to the WSC.

• Opportunities to earn money by coaching BPASF Training days and training camps

Criteria required for a Coach membership

• Completed online membership form including signing up to the WADA code

• £20 membership fee

• Electronic photograph – head shot

• IPSF Code of Points training

• Evidence of WADA Coach training course

• Evidence of First Aid Training

• Evidence of Safeguarding training course

• Evidence of Instructor training in the field in which you coach (EG Pole coaches should have some form of Pole instructor training course)

• Evidence of training in some form of Anatomy/Physiology/Biomechanics field

• Evidence of Anti-Doping Training (Free training course can be taken here https://adel.wada-ama.org/en)

• Evidence of insurance to cover public liability and professional indemnity with pole and aerial specifically covered.

Guidelines

• The online membership form should be completed in full

• All supporting documents should be uploaded to the online membership form.

• The membership fee must be sent along with the application form, payments can be made on our online shop

• All members will be required to abide by the WADA code – see details below.

The WADA code is an international agreement between all sporting organisations affiliated with the International Olympic Committee and Sport Accord to ensure fair and clean sporting behaviour for all. The IPSF (and therefore also the BPASF) have adopted the principles of WADA and have implemented an anti-doping educational program which includes athlete testing. Signing up to be a member of the Federation makes it your responsibility to find out further information.

Membership Application

Your application will be processed within two weeks from receipt of your forms. Should more information be needed you will be notified by email. You will be informed of the outcome of your application on completion of the full application process; your welcome pack and membership card will be sent via email. Please make sure your email and postal addresses are correct.

Membership fees can be made by bank transfer upon request.

Membership Renewal

Membership is renewed annually. One month before your renewal date you will be asked if you wish to renew your membership, and sent details of how to do so. You may cancel at any time, no refund will be offered for cancelled membership fees.
