Welcome to British Pole & Aerial Sports

It is with considerable sadness and regret that I have to inform you that we are having to close the British Pole and Aerial Sports Federation as an organisation. With effect from the end of January 2025 the BPASF will no longer exist.
We have run out of money and do not have enough committee members with enough time, skills and experience to provide even the most basic running of a federation.

Pole & Aerial Sport

What is British Pole & Aerial Sports?

Formally Pole Sports UK we relaunched and re-grouped with a new Executive Committee in 2018. The British Pole & Aerial Sport Federation is a not for profit organisation dedicated to positively promoting pole and aerial disciplines as an athletic sport.

Run by voluntary members of the British Pole and Aerial community it was created to foster the development of Pole and Aerial throughout the Nation.

The British Pole & Aerial Sport Federation supports athletes, coaches, judges and enthusiasts to unify our sport.

Who are we affiliated to?

The British Pole & Aerial Sport Federation is a proud member of the International Pole Sports Federation (IPSF)who govern pole and aerial sports internationally. They do this by setting in place a structured competition, coaching and education format that has been accepted by international sport governing bodies.

The IPSF has been awarded Observer member status of the Global Association of International Federations (GAISF) , and are Signatories of the World Anti-Doping Association (WADA)

The goal of the British Pole and Aerial Sport Federation is to be recognised as an official sport and to provide a safe and level playing field for all of our Athletes.

National Championship

The British Pole & Aerial Sport Federation host its National Championship annually. It is part of a network over 25 competitions with over 5,000 athletes. Unfortunately due to the high cost of running this competition we are unable to host a competition this year. Athletes can however enter open competitions in other countries. We hope to have our next national  competition in 2025.

Our Vision & Our Mission

Our vision is “to enable our coaches, judges, athletes and the wider pole sports community to have the best opportunity to achieve their highest potential in all aspects of Pole Sports.”

Our mission is “to enable and inspire people to take part in safe and effective pole sports around the United Kingdom.”
